The Bank of Finland is Finland’s national central bank and national monetary authority and an active member of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) and Eurosystem. The Bank issues opinions and analyses on both the domestic and international economy and on financial markets. The Research Unit publishes scientific studies focusing on interaction and sta-bility of financial markets and the macro economy. Bank of Finland Institute for Emerging Economies (BOFIT) produces research and analysis reports on the economies of Russia and China.

The Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) is the authority for supervision of Finland's financial and insurance sectors. Its supervised entities include banks, insurance companies and authorised pension insurers, fund management companies and the stock exchange. Administratively, FIN-FSA operates in connection with the Bank of Finland, but it is fully independent in its supervisory work. FIN-FSA issues press releases, studies, analyses and statistics in the fields of finance and insurance.
